Evolution of a dam
These following pages relate the chronological account
of dam’s construction by the beavers. It enlarges on a period of about
2/3 months from the middle of May to July 2004. We talk about various stages
which we describe for having experienced them daily, namely: the place’s choice, the
fight against rising, simultaneously the elevation and extension of dam which will
reach to the maximum 10 metres long for about 1 metre high and wide to its
strategic point: the bed of the stream … The follow-up of dams’ life being
just simple routine, made of usual maintenance: filling of breaches and slight
